Selina Stenberg, Merkabit, and how this came to be.

A short biography, the principles the work runs on, the timeline, and how to get in touch.

Founder

Selina Stenberg.

Selina is the founder of Merkabit and the CEO of Ægis and eXOReaction — two AI-era software companies in Oslo run with her business partner Thor Henning Hetland (CTO). She is a long-form contemplative practitioner and the author of the forthcoming book Scaling Buddha. She has no formal training in physics or mathematics, but somehow she could read the geometry. She lives north of Oslo, Norway.

The framework that this site documents grew from a year of contemplative practice, structured dialogue with Claude (Anthropic), and hardware verification work conducted in collaboration with Thor Henning Hetland on IBM Quantum machines. A base paper and thirty-six companion papers — including the capstone — now span the framework's full breadth, from the Standard Model to gravity, the cosmological constant, black holes, the Riemann zeros, and the matter-antimatter asymmetry.

She is open for collaboration with those who are drawn to this work.

CTO · Hardware lead

Thor Henning Hetland.

Thor is Merkabit's CTO and the architect of the framework's hardware-verification programme. He is Selina's business partner and the CTO of Ægis and eXOReaction — the two AI-era software companies they run together in Oslo. He has more than thirty years of software-engineering experience, an MSc in Software Development from NTNU (1996), and was named the first Java Champion in Scandinavia in 2005. He is co-founder of JavaZone — Scandinavia's largest developer conference — the founder of eXOReaction, and CTO of Quadim.

He built — and continues to develop — the ExoCortex: a knowledge-infrastructure stack including the Synthesis indexing platform, the Knowledge Context Protocol (KCP), and the Claude Code integrations (kcp-commands and kcp-memory) that turn AI agents into long-context collaborators. In February 2026, the ExoCortex rig increased the merkabit research programme's pace of derivation by an order of magnitude — what previously took weeks now took hours.

He leads all hardware execution. The five-out-of-five pre-registered predictions confirmed on IBM Eagle r3 (Papers 24–26) were submitted by Thor between 6 and 12 April 2026; the cross-architecture mirror of the Pentachoric Verification Protocol on Google Willow Phase 2 is also under his direction.

How this came to be

Eight moments.

A condensed origin. The full account, with surrounding prose, lives on the Journey origin page.

Operating principles

Four operating principles.

01

Contemplative depth + frontier rigour, no separation.

The framework was produced from inside contemplative practice and outside academia. Neither register is reduced to the other.

02

Geometry over metaphor.

Where a metaphor would be honest enough, a diagram is built instead. Geometry is the medium because geometry is the meaning.

03

Falsifiable, with named consequences.

Every claim of substance is committed to a prediction with named conditions for failure. Three predictions have already crossed the threshold to confirmation.

04

Small surface, deep field.

The public surface is intentionally small — a website, a book, a few engagements. The depth lives behind it. It scales by going further in, not further out.
